Now lets try to model the air intake located on the side of the hood.
You will need to use the techniques learned earlier, and I will explain one more technique often needed in car modelling.

You can see in the image below that I am using the "rule of 3" to make nice fillet edges all around the edges of the air intake.

Continue as before by selecting edges and shift copying along the splines underneath.



You will discover that the edges will be intersecting when you have extruded the edges along the spline a couple of times:

This is where you need to learn how to convert 2 fillet edges to a flat surface.

You will need to continue to the selected edges and extrude them along the spline.
Afterwards we will start to weld some of the vertexes so we are gradually ending up with one vertex.
